If it is difficult to determine whether it is the fault of double row angular contact ball bearing, remove the motor load, power on the motor, hear the sound at the bearing clearly, and then power off. If the noise disappears, it is not the fault of Timken bearing. If the noise still exists, it can be judged as bearing failure.
Inspection of bearing heating. There are many reasons for Timken bearing heating, and the motor heating will also be transmitted to the bearing parts, and the bearing heating will also be transmitted to the casing. Therefore, it is not easy to determine whether the double row angular contact ball bearing is hot.
Check the state of raceway surface, rolling surface and mating surface, the wear of cage, the increase of clearance of double row angular contact ball bearing and the abnormal damage caused by the decline of irrelevant dimensional accuracy. For non separable small ball bearings, support the inner ring horizontally with one hand and rotate the outer ring to confirm whether it is smooth.
Since large bearings cannot be rotated by hand, pay attention to the appearance of rolling elements, raceway surfaces, cages, edge retaining surfaces, etc. the higher the importance of Timken bearings, the more careful the inspection is.
