Double row angular contact ball bearings are units with solid inner and outer rings and ball and cage assemblies with polyamide, brass or sheet steel cages. Their structure is similar to a pair of single row angular contact ball bearings with O-type arrangement, but they are narrow to a certain extent, and their contact angle is different from the design of bearing rings.
Bearings have open and sealed designs. Due to the manufacturing process used, open bearings may have rotating grooves on the outer ring for sealing or shielding. Sealed bearings are maintenance free and therefore contribute to a particularly economical bearing arrangement. The angle adjustment function of angular contact ball bearings is very limited.
